Burkhardt Energy Technology

Development. Production. Service.

We started out like any other conventional heating and sanitation installer, but ventured onto the field of renewable energies with a vegetable oil CHP in 2004. At the same time, we also researched how we could generate power from wood. Our breakthrough came in 2010 with the Burkhardt wood gasifier V3.90, which now, thanks to our ongoing process optimisation, we produce in series as a modular solution. In 2014, we received the Bavarian Energy Award for our innovation. Meanwhile, we offer wood gas cogeneration plants with several output capacities. Besides our large wood gas CHPs with up to 390 kW electrical output, we also have a smaller one with 50 kW

Made in Germany – We develop and manufacture all of our biomass power plants at our main factory site in Mühlhausen. The plants are operated with wood pellets or wood chips. In addition, we also offer cogeneration units running on natural gas.

Thanks to our research and development department, we are able to permanently adapt and further develop our products. In addition, we also work on other research projects in the field of renewable energies. So you can look forward to new interesting products from Burkhardt in the future.

Since 2020 we are proud to offer efficient sludge drying plants called BURKHARDT DRYLINE: transform sewage sludge to raw material!
