Combined Heat and Power with wood pellets or wood chips

Together with the Burkhardt V3.90S or V5.90S wood gasifier, the CHP ECO 220 generates heat and power from wood pellets or wood chips.

The technology in the Burkhardt ECO combined heat and power unit

The Burkhardt ECO 220 is based on a proven MAN in-line six-cylinder diesel engine with turbocharging. At the Burkhardt plant, the basic engine is converted to a gas Otto engine and adjusted for operation with wood gas. The CHP unit is built on a base frame ready for connection; heat exchanger and exhaust gas aftertreatment are integrated. For easy installation, the connections for heating water, exhaust gas and fuel supply are led out of the module. Electricity is generated by an air-cooled synchronous generator from Leroy Somer.

On request, the CHP is also available as a variant with pilot ignition engine.
