Second Swiss biomass power plant installed
Yet another Burkhardt wood gas plant came into operation on 03/12/2018. A wood gasifier V 3.90 with a combined heat and power plant ECO 165 HG was installed at the Möbelfabrik Muotathal in central Switzerland.
Möbelfabrik Muotathal is a traditional family business which places great emphasis on sustainability: all the leftover wood from production is used for heat generation for the company’s own district heating grid. It can supply heating to more than 220 flats and houses and 22 business enterprises. With the installation of the new wood gasifier with CHP, sustainable electricity can now also be produced. The heat produced is fed into the district heating grid.
The first Burkhardt plant in Switzerland has been in operation since autumn 2017.
